Thank God we have generous corporations understanding how vital it is for a company and employees to support for local organizations doing good work in Central Indiana.

We could not be as good as we are without everyone involved.

I don't like the way employers tactics practically try and make not giving to UW an impossibility. My money goes directly to help my family and those causes that I see worthy in my immediate community, some of which are not covered by UW, and/or matched with funds from my employer.

I agree that UW is an easy way for folks to quickly check off their good deed for the year, in their minds.

The article failed to mention that Lilly management uses strong-arm tactics to coerce their employees into "giving". Oh, sure, they say it's optional, but see what happens to people who don't participate.

Oh, yes, wonderful work like slaughtering babes in the womb. How vital.

(Yes, United Way funds Planned Parenthood.)

I guess you don't want it seen that Brightpoint is nothing but crooked and UW is receiving money stolen by crooks. Suppose that's why you deleted my post. That makes you as worthless as Brightpoint.

United Way of Central Indiana does NOT fund Planned Parenthood.

That's why I don't give to the UW general fund, I target my donation to the charity of my choice.

This is why I say no when my employer comes around and ask people to sign up to give to United Way. Who gets the credit? The givers or the company. Renting this ball room and food to be served is good us of your money. Now are you glad you gave your hard eard money for this?

United Way, is one of the best write-off for TAXES around,As for as getting
the JOB done, after having 5 board
meeting and wasting many hours, I know
I contacted U.W. they tild me I was wasting my time asking for GRANT money
to fill a request for security product
they turn me down, this order was from Indiana D.C.S. that could have saved
some children from getting hurt or
Killed.
So U.W. is not the way to go, Faith
Ministries is the way to go.

That's just a shell game. "Oh, certainly, sir, we'll put your money into our left pocket and pay Planned Parenthood from our right pocket."

When you designate a specific charity, it makes no difference in how the money is allocated because not very many people make such designations. If you designated $50 to the Boy Scouts and they were already planning to give the Boy Scouts $1000, then they can just say that your $50 was part of it.

Don't kid yourself.

Is that English?
