Problem with security alert system.

I have a 2005 Subaru Outback 2.5l wagon. When all the doors are closed and locked, the security alert system goes off randomly with flashing lights and honking horn. The system can be briefly disarmed by pressing any button on my remote transmitter, but almost immediately the flashing lights and noise starts up again. The only way to silence the racket is to unlock the doors. This happens even though I have deactivated the alarm system, and placed it in valet mode. To prevent the alarm from going off when the doors are locked, I must disconnect the battery. One possible solution would be to disconnect the security control module. But I canít find it. Is it under the front passenger seat? Any other suggestions or help would be appreciated.
