I'm shopping for a new car and am unsure to order the 4 or 6 cylinder engine? Anyone have advice?

I live in Illinois and have the 4 cylinder (cvt) and it is plenty adequate for me. It is obviously flat here so I can't say much about how it would climb through mountain passes. You aren't going to win any races with the 4 but I will gladly sacrafice that for the 28-30mpg I am currently getting. Test drive them both...either way you can't make a bad decision.

I am considering a 2010 Subaru Outback, but my wife is not happy with the low position of the front passenger seat. She is concerned it will not be comfortable on long trips. She is short and had a bad experience with a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions?
