And your name is George W Bush ??? Change, please !!! Move to Japan.
How many Japanese cars do you see on Speed Channels Barrett auctions? Not one !!! Japanese cars are worth the price for about ten years...Japanese is a 'throw away', along with Hundai's, or however you spell it, etc... How many mid 60's Chevy trucks do you see on the road? Tons..... I still own a third gen Z28, I take care of it... Japanese are for the 'gas n go' lazy American, of which I am not one of them.
A car is usually bought for transportation a truck a work vehicle not something to collect..A car is bought new ,then its becomes used, then its a piece of crap, then some moron pays 9 times what it was originally worth and its called a classic ..And the reason you don't see mid 60s Japanese cars on the road is they didn't start selling here til the 70s during the gas crisis ..Every auto company has had recalls or you don't remember the Ford explorer or exploder a it was called..you need only to get behind the wheel of an American built car then one from Japan of comparable size and you will see why even with the cash for clunkers deal came out more people opted for Japanese cars ...Its a damn shame i agree with you ..but you can thank the UAW and their overpaid workers this isnt the 60s anymore and America cant build a car..Its just a fact ..

The best cars we've owned have been either Toyota or Honda. I would never buy one of their little politically correct hybrids, though. The only way I would use a gov/t motors car is if I was handed one because that is what I feel they are worth--nothing.
