Form and function are equally important to me as looks. I don't mind being in a minority and driving an uglymobile as much as I mind sharing the road with the Big-3's latest incarnation of 9,000 pound, 14 MPG asphalt bound locomotives, perpetually inhabited by soccer divorcees.
But then again, I owned a Renault R-5, which resembled a ski boot. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Does anyone know if the gold version featured will be a special edition such as the RS 5.0?

Dude, I have a hard time calling anything made by toyota a POS. You may not like the design, but a POS is a bit harsh. I've had Chryslers before, and unfortunetly a ford, those are POS's. Also the 2.4 in the XB is from the Camry. I know people who have put 300,000 miles on that motor. I'm not looking to argue who is better than who, but toyota has proven themselves.

I don't. I owned two Toyotas and both were a POS.

This is the perfect ride for me. I've seen the xB of previous years and didn't think to much of the style of it. But the 2008 xB has a new body and better style. I was look at other dealers, but just by chance I saw the 2008 xB and test drove it. I was hooked! I came back the next day and bought it. Plus you can't find a more equipped vehicle for the same price. I have a loud stereo and and a nice ride!
thanx Scion! I'm a happy customer!

Perhaps you all don't understand the term "global economy" - all domestic manufacturers sell their autos in other countries. And, they all own foreign manufacturing companies. They all use foreign manufactured parts in their production. And perhaps you don't realize that Toyota employees well over 30,000 United States Citizens. As for me, I'll buy an American Made car when the Japanese make one.

You're probably an auto worker that depends on the union to help you think, no? Your bosses got you all into this mess. Thank goodness Japan forced the American Auto Industry to clean up its act! I just bought an '08 Scion and I make no apologies!
