How odd is it that the Democrat-led government that prides itself on being environmentally aware now demands perfectly good vehicles be turned into scrap in order to save as little as 2 miles per gallon, which to my way of thinking is a rounding error?

I guess it's about as odd as spending $400 per month to buy a cramped vehicle that saves you $400 a year on fuel over your comfortable "gas-guzzler."

there are so many things wrong with this program. another fine example of government scre8ing things up. The junkyards are saying they can't afford to process these cars - they don't want them. I say we park them all on the White House lawn.

New cars are throw aways. The electronics on new cars will be obsolete soon. Dont expect electronic parts to be available after 10 years. You'll have no choice but to scrap it and get a new one. Restore a pre 80's car and you'll be ahead of the game.
