GM's Saab unit files for protection from creditors
General Motors's Swedish-based subsidiary Saab went into bankruptcy protection Friday so the unit can be spun off or sold by its struggling U.S. parent, officials said.

Hopefully the swedish government likes this development since they were too cheap to bail out Saab.
