I have a 69 shadow...Is there a battery shut off switch and if so,where is it located?

If there's a battery isolation switch fitted (there isn't always) it should be in the boot just in front of the battery box. On the whole it should be red with a plastic operating 'key' which can be removed to ensure that the car cannot be started.
Since doing this would deactivate any alarm system, stop the clock and lose the radio's memories it's usual to add a smallish fuse - 10 amps should be plenty - in parallel to it. Then almost everything electrical (up to a total of 10 amps current drain) would still work, but the fuse would still blow immediately anyone tried to start the car without the key in place.
