Have you tried the floor button to the left of the clutch press to full beam then press again to dip.

Hi, I had thought of that as from what I can find on the internet there should be a switch ther but no trace of any ever being fitted
I guess you ment the hand brake pedal they are all autos I think?
Thank for your reply, this is getting to me as I dont have a manual,

there is a floor mounted button under the left foot to turn on the brights. The stalk control is only for flashing.

If the foot switch is not working, check your fuses. The flash and the switch are on two different fuses, as i remember.

Also, check the grounds on the lights and also, the little relay that turns on the brights if the low lamps blow, if the car is equipped.

I'm not sure if this model has the old floor mounted 'dipswitch'. If it does it will be covered by a large round black rubber cap and will sit just where you rest your left foot when driving. Have you tried pushing the flasher stalk forward? If that doesn't work I would then expect to find a relay (probably a bistable one) somewhere behind the dash or inside the centre console that only operates when the normal lighting switch is turned to 'headlights'.

In practice the Spur is an updated Shadow 2 and many of the ancilliaries are very similar. Look here:

Hi Jan,
Thankyou for your answer, I have checked out the rrtech sight,
I am sure by the chassis number and the lack of wires and no hole in the carpet it is not a floor mouted switch model, When I flash the lamps with the stalk I can see the relay (next to the sus/brake fluid res) working I beleive this is the sequencing relay (took the cover off) and can see it changing the circut and the two relays next to it are clicking, changed them for the wiper ones so they are working but on releasing the stalk the the lights go back to dip. Having no manual is a pain, I was thinking mabye it was wired wrong as it was like this when I bought the car I dont want to change any wires without the drawings in case I blow somthing?
if its a none floor switch, do you turn full beam on with the stalk or pull the light switch out?

Thanks again for taking the time to reply

Capt Jack.
