Hi again Steve.
That general area (including the outer edge of the seat squab) is favourite for wear since you rub over it as you deposit your backside onto the driver's seat. To put it right correctly you have to do it in 4 stages:
1) Cleaning. I prefer "Carr, Day & Martin's Saddle Soap". Anything that it can't shift, if used as per the instructions, is beyond help. How easy or otherwise it may be to obtained I couldn't say as I've not bought any for many a year. Yes, that's how long a tin will last! There may be equally effective cleaners available, but that's what I mostly use - except on my 3-piece suite as it's easier to use disposable 'leather wipes'. Of course the suite doesn't get anywhere as dirty as the leather in my Rolls. Nor is it as old!
2) Feeding. CD&M do that as well. Guess what they call it ...
3) Recolouring. The main problem here is that the original colour will likely have faded somewhat. If you snip off a fragment of the leather from a concealed spot (shaded from unwanted UV so it should be the same shade as when it left Crewe) you can send it off to a leather specialist who will supply the correct dye to fetch all the leather back to pristine condition. eBay is as good a source as any for this service.
4) Protection. Err ...'leather protector'? Although leather feed can help in this regard it's better to use an emolument that is specifically formulated to be UV translucent or preferably UV opaque.
I'd normally point you towards the Australian Rolls Royce forum at this juncture, but what's available 'Down Under' is unlikely to be on sale here in Blighty.
Don't forget that you can PM me on either the Estima or LPG forums (fora?) under the ID of Sir Henry.

IIRC both of them allow you to send PMs even as a new member. Look at what I wrote again as I can only assume that you're doing something wrong. On the Estima forum there is another way. Look for a post from the member that you want to contact. Click on his avatar. Scroll down the next page a little and click on 'send me a message' on the left of that page.
