I honestly believe that had they been discreet about their wealth the hawks and sars wouldn't have even been on their tails. If they were private and not so flashy nobody would have even investigated them. There are lots of corrupt business men who are involved in fraud but will never get caught because they avoid attracting public attention. When you are in the public eye you open yourself up to a lot negativity and scrutiny.

There is nothing wrong with Black people being rich. The case in point is very unique in the sense that Shawn Mpisane is an RDP housing contractor. She is not a Golf Estate type housing contractor who would sell those houses for millions of rands. How does anyone make so much profit out of building low cost RDP houses? The fact that Shawn Mpisane has made so much profit out building those houses could mean that either cheap material was used, or the tenders awarded to her were highly inflated to build in the fat that she is now using to buy all these cars and an R80m house. No RDP building contractor should be allowed to make so much profit. Most of that money should go into building bigger houses for the people and the contractor should make a reasonable return. What Shawn has pocketed in profits is probably far more than what it cost to build those 1800 houses.

Rise through corruption while the people grow poorer each day and African children starve to death? Are you zulu? Msunu wako, nja!
