We'll need more Klunkers for the next generation of trade-ins..... |

2 So what you have done is you have taken 2 or 3 years of potential new car sales and squeezed them into a 6-month period. Prepare now for the production downturn to come. |

How about that, it works. It's like an electric defribrilator on an economy with heart disease.
Now once we get things beating again we need to unclog all the arteries that are holding the rest of the economy down or things will just collapse again. |

1 So, the republicans take cash from Goldman Sachs lobbiests and then give them favors. What's the diff? At least the little guy is getting a piece of the action this time. Hooray! |

1 Let's give it the good ole American try, huh? Let's break some production records! Let's aim for Zero Defects resulting from human laziness and lack of attention! Let's give a damn! LOL...yeah, right. |

you people are amazing,,,i thought the accusation of republicans wanting america to fail was truly a myth.i swear you are pathetic.sometimes i can't believe i wore a uniform to protect people who would later question my patriotism,and then hope to see america fail so they could win a friggin election.

your faithin your fellow americans is touching. a few things you wouldn't have without the work of unions:a 40 hour week,overtime,benefits,a 5 day week.the next time you are punching out at 5 on friday you might thank unions but you won't.and please don't even try to claim companies would have given workers these without unions because if that were true unions would have never gotten started. |
|||
Your argument made sense back in 1925 but we have labor laws today that prevent abuse like this from happening. |

1 and who do you think pushed for these labor laws, wake up and smell the coffee. Ever wonder if the decline in Unions and the decline in average wages(inflation adjusted)have anything to do with each other... |

Judged:
1 You're right. Since unions have been declining it does seem like the government has been cutting back on laws like overtime. |

1 you mean like the law that is allowing companies to deny overtime pay to more workers than ever?or maybe the laws that protect workers that have been gutted in the name of "less regulation" like worker safety?try reading about the delco brake plant here in ohio that exposed workers to toxic fumes on the assembly floor.the ventilation fans were broken and the company refused to fix them,so the workers open exit doors to clear the air.management chained them shut,including 2 fire exit doors.how did workers finally get this all fixed?they had to sue to bring it out.face it big corp america is only interested in 2 things,bonuses for execs and keeping workers in total fear for their jobs so they don't complain when benefits are cut,wages are frozen and over time becomes mandatory and underpaid while the ceo got his bonus for keeping costs down.yeah unions have no place in this world.spoken like someone who has never been blue collar. |
