Ironic than in heavy unionized areas like NY people won't support companies that use union labor. Wait, NY has mainly public unions and they don't care about anybody but themselves.

Hello America
The stock holders from GM lost all their money. The pending lawsuits against GM for faulty equipment which has led to personal injury has been dismissed under federal bankruptcy laws . All pending lawsuits under the bankruptcy laws have been dropped. The government has relieved GM of their financial obligations under the federal bankruptcy laws.
This article appeared on a local racing web site:
General Motors to stay in auto racing: For now, bankruptcy won't park General Motor Corp.'s long and successful involvement in auto racing. As the Detroit carmaker began retooling after filing for bankruptcy protection, a company spokesman said Monday he did not expect further cuts to GM Racing's budget, which supports NASCAR, NHRA, ALMS and short-track racing activities around the country and adheres to the "win on Sunday, sell on Monday" mantra. "Racing equals good ROI (return on investment)," said Steve Janisse, group manager for Chevrolet Communications. "There are no expected budget cuts right now."
Now ask yourself a question, have you driven a Chevy lately? Do you plan on buying one in the future? They let all these people down. I would never purchase another GM product again. I hope the general population sees how much GM cares about us.

Besides the union and healthcare issues, GM failed because they were all about marketing strategies.

They would sell Cadillacs for more because of the marketing data --- and use the same parts as a Chevy, but with a different grille.

Meanwhile the Buicks, the Oldsmobiles, the Pontiacs --- they were all the same car. Did they think we didn't notice?

They got progressively more 'clever' over the years about reusing old technology, redressing the same old cars with new fenders, and ignoring the longterm trends.

It was all about marketing --- and at some point they forgot to actually focus on cars.

You are technicians. You are engineers.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Libra

Your social life has a lot to offer under the Leo Moon and it would be a shame to spend too much time on your own. Venus, your life-ruler, in the sign of the Archer, is outgoing and jovial, but you're keen to make a serious effort with people you aren't normally all that keen on. Take them in your stride, and look on the bright side. There's always something to like about anyone!
