2007 annoying headrest

Has anyone out there also found the headrest of the 2007 model annoying. Speaking for my wife, she finds the headrest uncomfortable due to lack of tilt adjustment. She like to drive with her seatback near vertical. In this position, the headrest pushes forward on her head. Even with the vertical adjustment in the headrest, comfort can not be found. Does anyone know of a solution, an adjustable headrest from a different car that WILL work. This poorly designed (comfort considered) headrest is the only reason we haven't purchased an 07 and are considering Toyota.

I total agree. I owned a 2005 altima, and never had a problem. The 2007 head rest is annoying. I have taken to driving with out a head rest it is so bad.

Totally agree, I am ready to take the big hit and get rid of my armada due to the headrest.
Does anyone know of another manufacturer's headrest that is a tilt and will fit the nissan

I'm wanting to buy a Murano, but when I took my husband to try it out, he got no further than the headrest situation. He likes to sit very erect, and the headrest was in the way. It also did not raise up high enough. So much for the Murano. sigh.

Find a new wife... the altima is too good a vehicle to swap out over a headrest.

I just purched the 2011 Altima. My problem with the headrests is that I can't see a thing when backing up. I have a complete blind spot over my left sholder. I also thought about removing them or
replacing them with a smaller version. Maybe even a wider rear view mirror would help. Any suggestions?

I also like to sit upright and the head rest pushes my head about 2 inches forward, which is ergonomically terrible for the neck/back. I just bought a 2012 and was disheartened when I realized the seat was not comfortable.

I tried turning it 180 degrees, but then I worry about the safety. Would love a neutral headrest, for which I could replace the original for.

Is there such a thing??
