Anybody else having issues of excessive noise from the sunroof? The dealership has adjusted twice but it each time it seems to slowly get out of adjustement. No leakage of water, just wind noise.

My sunroof was leaking air and literally blew off my car and crashed onto the interstate, it was very frightening and could have easily injured or killed someone if a driver had been behind me.

I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The roof doesn't shut properly. It seems that glass is not tight up against the weather stripping/seal. As such, when traveling at higher speeds the wind noise is almost unbearable and it leaks. Can this be adjusted or fixed?

I have a 2007 Endeavor with the exact same problem....excessive wind noise almost to the point of being unbearable. Dealership has adjusted the roof THREE times and it's still a major problem.

I just bought a used 2007 Endeavour, and am finding out first-hand about the sunroof wind-noise issue -- definitely does not sound closed at highway speed, although I haven't had it long enough to actually see it leaking, yet. Has anyone had any luck mitigating the issue with an aftermarket wind deflector, such as this one? http://www.amazon.com/Sunroof-Deflector-MITSU...

I have a 2007 Endeavor. This problem is caused because the car is so air tight that the sunroof is forced open by air pressure everytime a door is closed. As a result, the sunroof gets out of adjustment, eventually stripping the screw holes. The Mitsu folks don't understand the problem, they want to replace the sunroof (it has been adjusted many times) but without a way for air to escape the same thing will happen.

Wow! Yes, I can see how that could be the mechanism for this recurring problem! Thanks for pointing it out!

I wonder if the way the vents are set might mitigate this; for example, always parking with the "recirculation" turned off so there is an air channel to the outside through the ventilation system?

I have the same problem with my 2006 Endeaver. I have had it adjusted or "fixed" 4 times now and still the same. I have also noticed it leaks when it rains while I am parked on a down hill slope. The incline does not have to be much at all. I have gone through cars washes and major rain storms & no leaks only when on an incline. But the best solution I have found for the wind noise is DUCT TAPE! yep good old duct tape, one strip over the front rim of the sunroof & you are in business!

I have the same problem with my 2006 Endeavor. Dealership could not figure it out also. I have to hand wash to prevent leaks. Adjusted screws no help.

I have same sunroof noise and leakage (first noticed in car wash). Had it adjusted 2 years ago for $85, but is back. Is this a factory defect or what. Otherwise love the car and have 70,000 miles.

I too have this issue on my wifes 07 Endeavor. I havo no problems removing the headliner to make the ajustment. But ive had a thought about how to possiblt prevent it from reaccurin. We have in-channel window visors and can leave the window(s) slightly open to allow for air to escape when the doors are closed. FYI: There's cabin pressure release flaps behind the tail lights. But they may not provide enough flow.

I have a 2009 Endeavor and have had problems with the sunroof since I bought it. Bought it Va. moved to Texas. Took it to the deal when it was under warranty. They checked with the manufacturer to see if they would replace it since they kept adjusting a screw to keep it closed. No such luck. I is now 2013 the sunroof is still noisy with a slight crack where it should close. Last month I went to open it to close it again and guess what it won't even open past an inch. now. his car is a piece of $$it. It is also using oil and the mechanic doesn't see where. No leaks on my garage floor. also they replace 2 drive shafts in in while it was still under warranty. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MITSUBISHI!~

I would echo what Wanda has said. My 2006 has a noisy sunroof and the car uses oil with no noticeable leaks. Also had to retrofit the air conditioning to allow condensation to drain through the firewall. I would not buy another Mitsubishi either.

I have had similar problems with my 2007 endeavor. It has been taken repeatedly to the dealer for fix of not closing properly and leaking, and of course problem would reoccur just outside of warranty of work. I do now take my car to a guy who cleans the drains etc. but the basic underlying problem that the left rail of the sunroof has now stripped screws so the sunroof is not flush in the front. After finding out the cost of the repair I believe Mitsubishi did not want to replace the sunroof from the beginning when that is what was needed. My car in all other areas is awesome my mileage is 53500 so for now still keeping the car, but will never by a Mitsubishi ever again
