Gasoline prices hit harder outside the U.S.

Honked off by Los Angeles pump prices? Cheer up. You could be commuting in Oslo, where gasoline costs $9.85 a gallon and filling up a Mini Cooper would set you back $130. That's the priciest petrol on a list of ...

When you consider the cost of fuel; take into account what the average person earns. Someone in Mexico paying $2.69 a gallon but making $2.00 a day is still getting hit hard in the pocket book. I think U.S consumers can handle the rising costs given that its such a small portion of their pay. I only have to work 2/12 hrs to fill up my gas tank which lasts me two weeks; not too bad! I'm originally from Nairobi and its painful to see how gas prices are affecting my fellow countrymen.

I think it's safe to assume that person making $2.00 a days doesn't own a car.

But all other points I see. I say we all protest... it only cost the middle eastern nations about 8 bucks a barrel to dig up and transport the oil to the us.. so why did the barrel just top 145 dollars dollars yesterday?

The CEOs of the major oil companies are getting upwards of 50 million in salaries and bonus each year ----WTF....

I'm lucky that I live close to work(well paying job) and school and most importantly I purchased a vehicle with excellent gas millage.. but even with that, I feel terrible for those single parents out there working multiple jobs and minimum wage ( TX -$5.85) and paying $3.99 for a gallon.
There are a lot of people who will be forced to discontinue working due to the rising cost of fuel and I'm sure this will only burden our welfare and health care systems.
I feel that this government has abandoned us ..
