Hey hahah? Remember the Isuzu Trooper? Rated not acceptable by Consumer Reports for rolling over. Made in..........JAPAN. Issue is SUV's general design with a high center of gravity. The Toyota with the highest rollover accident rate is the Forerunner. The Nissan with the highest rollover accident rate is the Pathfinder. One thing that does confuse me about the Explorer suit, the identical Mazda Navajo and Mercury Mountaineer were not included. They had to have the same rollover rate as the Explorer.

$500 coupons? The question is NOT if the settlement is an insult, but rather, how much salt is poured in the wounds. I doubt the attorneys will get $25 mil in Ford coupons.
Expect the coupons to show up on a auction site... for $50, you can get $500 off a explorer.

THE AMERICAN PUBLIC HAS ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN DO TO GREED ON THEIR PART. MOST ACCIDENTS HAPPEN BECAUSE SOME ONE DID SOMETHING WRONG, DRIVING TO FAST, ERRATIC LANE CHANGE, SWERVING OR NOT PAYING ATTENTION. THE LAWYERS ARE THE ONLY ONES TO EVER COME OUT IN THESE KIND OF SUITS, JUST LIKE VULTURES CLEANING UP THE ROAD KILL BY EXISTING ON THE MISFORTUNE OF OTHER.

Why sue a company on behalf of one person when you can do it on behalf of thousands of people, supposedly in their interests and for "justice", and then collect fees on behalf of those thousands? The attorneys get much more money and use the wronging of thousands of consumers as their justification. What's even worse is that in many cases, the attorneys structure the settlement so that unless certain procedures and timelines are followed, other wronged consumers can't sue individually.
The attorneys claim that they're doing these lawsuits to protect the consumers and in the public interest, but believe that when they start accepting the same type of payment as whatever the wronged consumers are getting. Everyone involved knows that most of the coupons will not be redeemed due to restrictive use conditions, but you can be sure that the attorneys fees were based on the dollar value of all of the coupons being redeemed.
Class action lawsuits: the growth field of the legal profession.

Do you think the attorney's would like to be paid with vouchers or coupons? If it is good enough for your clients, it should be good enough you right?

"But the attorneys for the plaintiffs defended the deal. "It's easy to come in here on the final day and criticize a settlement," said attorney Tracey Buck-Walsh."
Aren't the attorney’s suing on behalf of the plaintiffs? What a G-D A-hole. God I hate attorneys.
