You mean, he can't just take our excellent, efficient, and timely network of public transportation buses to STAB and back? Shocker!

lmao simple people like you always choose to judge a persons character... do you even know why she never owned a car? did you stop to think that maybe its a medical reason to and i quote GO TO A FRIGAMACHID JOB !!! unquote? hell no you didnt think people like you really need to stop judging books by the cover thats a old saying you should know that you dont know a persons circumstances or anything else about them while passing judgement let me judge you i think you are unhappy with yourself being you have to criticize some one else accomplishment when they have very good reasons to having why they can cannot work, etc. so many people talk about how kids get involved with the bad well how about praising a child or two to keep them on the right path instead of criticize granny over a car get real!! by the way you obviously dont know much and another as* that put blame on obama had you had any knowledge of your community or decided to donate to charity than you would know maaca, united way, etc. was giving cars away before obama even got in the white house... get educated before passing judgement

The problem with making generalizations and assumption is that often, they're very general and make you look like an ass.

Perhaps she has a job, and like most of the USA lives pay check to pay check.

If that is all you can say, it's pretty stupid, considering this wasn't a federal grant; it was a donation from State Farm, Battlefield Ford, and the MACAA.

You see, you're no better than those OWS folks that are so concerned with what rich people do with their money. Apparently some give it to people they think that are in need.

Again, it's none of your business. Are you jealous? Oh Boo hoo, poor dougie didn't get given a car.

You need to quit worrying about what rich people do with their money, especially when it's charitible.

Some people, like Dougie here, must live very miserable lives to take something so positive and turn it into such negativity! Is your life really That Miserable that you have to spread all your crap around trying to make everyone else miserable too???
You are so quick to post about what she may or may not do...But to be quite frank, it's really None of your Business. Your not paying for the car out of your pocket, so why do you care so much? All that matters is that the organization(s) giving her the car knows she's deserving. So what you think is irrelevant!!!
There are some things I just don't understand though... The fact that she, my grandmother, is trying to do the right thing and people like you DOUG, always have to find Something to complain about!!!!! It's people like you that make me sick to my stomach. She could be like so many other parents and grandparents out here that CHOOSE (I say CHOOSE because, yes, it is a choice) NOT to go the extra mile for their children. She could be like so many others that Just Don't Care! But she's not!!!
Can you fault her for trying to make sure her grandson, my cousin, gets a good education? Can you really fault her for that Dougie??? I don't think so!!!
Who cares if she reached out for a little help. The simple fact is that She Did It...She didn't just sit there. She's doing whatever it takes to make sure my cousin; a very smart, intelligent young man, gets a good education!!!
So before you take the time to post something negative...THINK TWICE!

i could go on all day replying to your ignorance instead all im gonna say is that her accomplishment was raising a very fine young man and i did not say she didnt never OWN a car for medical reasons i asked you did you know why also her not working for medical reasons was an example what do you really think id air all my family business on the internet get a life and imma leave it like that reply what you want at the end of the day the fact remains she did what she had to do to make it more manageable for her to continue to provide ways for my cousin and not ashamed so get over it

Well I think it is great that the child is doing a grewat job and is staying focused on education, however if she can't own a car because of medical reasons how is she going to drive it and get the child back and forth. If she doesn't have a job how is she going to pay bills and Insurance on the car? Just Sayin! I hope the child keeps up the good work and makes lots of money in the future so he can take care of his grandma for doing so well with him.

well, this will be my last post on this as I am leaving today for vacation. You see, I am not jealous nor am I poor. I have worked hard all my life. Early days, I drove many a POS car's, even had a bumbper that was 95% percent duck tape! Those junk cars was Rolls Royces to ME back then, for before I had them, I walked and when I had some "extra" change, took the bus on those RAINY days. SO, before YOU judge me...think about what you are really upset about.
I'm white, I'm well off (due to very hard work), and I donate to many many causes.
Maybe my real problem with this was the type and cost of the car. ONE person is helped with a 25 thousand dollar car to ride downtown (all local) driving, and I guess I wonder, how MANY people could have been helped with maybe 2,3,4 "used" cars? How many elderly people could have had TUNA instead of CAT food for dinner?
Let there be peace.... and, I do APOLOGIZE for my knee jerk reaction to my inner thoughts....to this grandmother....GOD BLESS you for caring for your grandson, I truely apologize for any of my comments that may have offended you and your family.
The worlds a crazy place, what a better place if we all just did the next RIGHT thing!

Obviously you need a scholorship to go back to school and learn proper grammer and punctutation. If you can't type and put together words better than this, you shouldn't be on here.

My mother is 78 years old, a grandmother and a great grandmother. No one has every given her a car or a free ride. She still works and is a great provider for her family. She and my father instilled a strong work ethic is us all for which we are grateful! Thanks mom for not accepting charity or free handouts and teaching us to work for what we want. Glad you are my mom and not a mom who doesn't work, takes handouts and shows her tattoo on tv. We love you!

And if someone HAD donated "2,3,4 used cars" instead of a nicer one, you'd STILL find something to b/i/t/c/h about. You're obviously just that miserable type of soul. Things are only good if they happen to YOU.

Just where are the parents of this boy ? They are the ones to be responsible for the boy , "NOT" Grandmaw !! I have kids and Grandkids and they take care of their own like all kids should do. I guess I am helping to pay a part on this car since I have Ins. with State Farm and I do not like it !!

Kids now days are not raised like they were years ago, some are brought into this world and just turned loose to do as they please.
