I bet they never broke an "axle" sence LS don't have any. Most likely they never keep up with repairs and had a 10 year old worn out front lower ball joint come apart. Don't let these peeps scare you they complain about every little thing. IE oh my god I had to do brakes and tires on my LS what a piece of junk. LOL

It was the lower ball joint on the drive side

Frank what do you think about it running hot after about 45 mins of driving and the heat doesn't blow out warm even when the car is running hot?

2000 ls v8 175k no leaks anti freeze level is always good so I don't what it could be

It 100% does not matter if the coolant level is "good" on a LS. The way all the cooling parts are laid out on a LS means there can be NO leaks ANYWHERE. If you get a leak you pull in air which then engine looses its coolant flow. The main problems on V8 LS are the plastic thermostat housing leaking or cracked,bad rad cap(coolant tank cap), cracked coolant tank. Then you have your hydro engine cooling fan. Which you never mentioned if its working or not?? If pump or fan motor goes bad you have no cooling air. But I think your main problem is you need to do the special coolant "BLEEDING" procedure. What I think you are doing right now is driving the car with NO coolant flow. Guess how good that is for an engine that is made to have coolant flow? IE BLOWN HEADGASKETS,then blame car. LOL

I have a lincoln ls v8 it has a oil pump issue. do i have to buy a motor or can the oil pump be changed? please help!

You most likey don't have an oil pump problem. More like timing chain or bad rod bearing. If the oil flow is stopped for any real length of time bearings get scuffed and then die.But if its really oil pump yes it can be swapped out. V8 motor oil pan easy to get off. Let me know why you need new pump.

Hi
I have Lincoln Ls 2003 at the morning when I start the car I hear whistles from probably one of the belts .
I bought the car last week I it was standing in cold weather for a month .so I think maybe it's some thing temporary couse it was not working for a while because after I drive it the noises stop.
Is any one familiar with this kind of issue ?

Replace serpintine belt and be done with it. When I bought my LS I cleaned the belt by hand removing all dirt,tiny rocks and bits of glass in belt but belt noise still there. I put on a new polycog belt and noises gone.

I thought i need a oil punp because no oil flow and was running hot a lot and it starts but its a fairly loud ticking noise, is this the case of the oil pump or something else.

How do you know you have NO oil flow? And running hot is cooling system not oil. Is the noise ticking or rapping? Is noise in head area or lower end? Also this is a v8 correct and what year?

I have a 2001 ls and have a antifreeze leak, its not the tank.... temp guage jumps around from time tot ime.... also shifts from park to drive hard.... plz help

The rapping sounds like it is in the upper part of the motor. and yes it is a v8, its a 2001. do you think one of the timing belts broke? i just found out that there is two on this car.

You most likely have a bad secondary timing chain tenstioner failer. You have 4 timing chains in your engine. Chains not belts. The tenstioners are made of plastic that breaks in older LS's. The new Ford replacment tenstioners are metal.
