Unfortunate owner of an 02' Lincoln LS V8:
I think I'm even more frustrated after reading everyone else is having the exact same issues. I could understand that I just happened to have a "lemon" and some bad luck... but this is just ridiculous.
My past & present issues w/ my Lincoln LS -
1. Window regulators!! I think I've gone thru 4 of them - all in the front.
2. Airbag light - it's been on for ages now
3. Engine warning light - it start of solid, but then once the car starts misfiring/sputtering it will begin blinking & at that time my cold AC begins blowing hot air.
4. The valance(sp) in the front underneath the car. Replaced it three times...yes, I'm partly to blame due to bumping into parking curbs, but it's certainly not sturdy.
5. CD player quit working 1 month after buying it - 5 yrs later it still does not work
There have been other minor issues here and there, but bottom line is this is hands down the worst car I have ever owned. Repairs for even the smallest of things always mean going to the dealership because regular auto parts stores never have the parts available.
If only I could go back to that dreadful day I made this horrific purchase.

I had a smiliar problem with my Lincoln. The only thing I needed was a new battery.

I have A 2001 ls and was doing the samething. Took it to the dealer they replaced the #6 plug and coil everything ok.

Im having problems with the gears shifting a little sluggish, it even shakes when i hit 45mph or more or if i get on the highway. At points the engine light starts to blink crazy and you can smell something burning, Does anyone have any solutions to this problem? Please help...

you never said if it was a 8 or 6 cly , I assume it is a standard shift which leads me to believe that it is a 6 cly , I would probably think that the valve covers are leaking a little and either oil is shorting out a plug or a coil pack went bad , thats the best I can tell with the little info you furnished -- Frank

I have a 2002 LS V8 sport, and my cruise control recently quit working, car shakes at highway speeds, front end clunks when on rough roads, and in michigan thats all we have is rough roads, automatic drivers seat quit working, anyone have any ideas. i am tired of dumping money into it and tired of dealer cost. u may e-mail me at [e-mail]

My daughter had the same problem with her 2008 Lincoln MKX.
I talked to the dealer and he said that this function can be removed from the program - if someone does not want it. They just need to bring the car in and have it reprogrammed not to function.

I cannot get the driver's power seat to operate. I checked the fuses but all are good. I'm also somewhat in the dark 'cuz I don't have a manual. Any suggestions???

My 2000 Lincoln LS the heater doesnt get hot. The control says 90 and the air is very cold. What can I do to solve this problem? I can only hope its not an expensive fix...

My 2003 V8, 140k miles, is a great car. Some problems, but what is mandatory on a high performance sensitive animal like this, the auto has to be taken to a high tech "real" wrench, not you buddy, that works on your 74 truck. Question: I want to put cat-back exhaust and cold air intake on my '03. No aftermarket parts are out there, I suppose because of the already high performance that the model brings to the table stock, has anyone fabbed or found cat backs for this '03, I know the cold air is out there...thanks and Happy Holidays

Check your antifreeze level, even though there are no leaks, the level will drop over time, and if it is low, flush the whole system and replace thermostat, just good maintenance for such a fine ride, Jake
