I'm not surprised Chrysler's new minivans are down on sales, they're bricks on wheels (ugly). As for minivans in general, they're old news and although crossovers took a hit as well, they're easier on the eyes.

Chrysler MUST build products that at least make it halfway up the new car list at Consumer Reports.
No more Snoop Dog & 50 cent marketing Chrysler product.(doesn't play well to the upper middle class and above)
No more white trash "does that thing got a hemi" comercials.(not for 90 IQ or higher, or 3.50 gas)
No more "in your face styling".(drop the cross hair grill)
No more Tonka meets hotwheels auto design.(don't cross trailer trash and hip-hop)
Don't outfit a subpar car with an interior that looks like Fisher Price and feels like playschool.(see Sebring/Avenger)
Oh ya, and come up with an all new high milage drivetrain and axle(a good one).........Yikes!

VERY TIRED wrote: <quoted text> And what is the lifetime of Chrysler, thus the warranty? It's like you got all your information about Chrysler from watching commercials. If you did your reserch you would find out that Diamler hired Cerberus to negotiate its contracts with the unions and help turn the company around ie. The new contract with TaTa motors to run the IT for Chrysler and bringing Nissan on board for design. As long as Diamler owens 19 percent of Chrysler a life time warranty is sustainable. Toooo bad you just bought that Kia! More Foreign waste for our landfills! Take pride in your country Redneck!!!

A few private investors owning 80% and then Daimler owning 20%? Toyota, Honda, Nissan are just as american as chrysler. Maybe even more, at least americans can own a stake in those companies and the profits they make off of their stock go to help fuel the economy with durable goods. With Cerebus who knows where the profits go, probably go to start up competing facilites in foreign countries. So please stop calling Chrysler an american company! Ford and GM are.

Are you making profits on your GM or Ford stocks? Gm and Ford have just as much invested in off shore production as Chrysler or Diamler. Just because you can buy stock in them does not make them american auto companys. You can buy stock in toyota and still spend your profits to fuel the economy, that doesn't make them an american auto company just because they fuel the economy, come on! My point from the start, if you cared to read the whole post, was don't get involved in talks about the auto industry unless you have done your home work. Inform yourself before you spout off, thats all I ask.

Do you really think the small group of investors that have a stake in cerebus are injecting their profits back in the US economy? Please define your version of "an american car company"
