Where did you get the hose at? Maybe that will help my CE light go off too.Same story here. My daughters 2002 Liberty did the same thing. A local gas station owner who tinkers with cars as a hobby just replaced one of the emission hoses (cost $0.36) and he charged me $10.00. I got out cheap this time.

I have decided that I will never own another Chrysler product. I have a 2002 Liberty and previously owned a Dodge Dakota. I think from here on out it will be foreign cars only.

Hi All, My jeep has 40,000 miles on it. Last month I paid $300 to replace the button to close my sunroof that was stuck open. Now the indicator lights are not working. It does not appear to be a fuse issue. I was told it will cost $49 to $98 for a 'diagnostic' to see what the problem is. The bill for the 'repair' is on top of that. This vehicle is a piece of @#$ and I will be selling it to buy a Honda. I own a Miata that is 13 years old, and a Toyota truck that has 200,000 miles on it - zero problems other than very modest wear and tear repairs. Gee, wonder why the American car companies are going broke.

I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport. I have had the problems with my rear windows, too. I have had to replace the right rear window motor twice and the left once. Just this past week, the right one broke, AGAIN!!! What the heck is going on? Would would think there should be a recall on the window motors, if there are several people with the same complaint!

Hey dont feel alone ! Over the years many people have had window problems with their jeeps. Its part of the price for buying one! Cheap wiring harnesses made in mexico i believe are at fault, lots of failures on assembly. |

I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty LTD,I purchased new. It has 136,800 miles & I love it! I drive a lot and the only thing I've had to do is replace my radiator & that was just done two days ago! I would purchase another Liberty.

good go buy another for yourself & two more for your mother in law & father in law! |

I am very disappointed of my 2006 Liberty Diesel. 4(four) recalls so far. I own it for 1 1/2 years. Now other shit. I had to replace rear breake pads and to machine the rotors. The dealer has NO idea where is the problem. I have just 12 000 miles on the car. Does anyone know how to get in contact with a Chrysler representative. I would like to talk to him face to face, and to show him my breake pads. Thanks!

I own a 2005 Jeep Liberty - 48,000 miles so far.
NO REPAIRS ! Still using original brakes !!! |

Sorry this is late, but yes - had a major slam and roll wreck in a 2002 Liberty in 2005. The airbags did not deploy. The attorney I contacted said because I lived, I should mark it up to a "really bad day". So now I get to live with scars all over my face and arms.

My 2006 Jeep Liberty rear drivers side window would drop down. I had to duct tape it up....I have no one who rides in back or have ever used the rear windows. Now I'm told that it is the "regulator" that broke. Please tell how something that never got used got broke. The dealer can't and since it is out of warranty (of course) and a leased vehicle I have to pay for that. Also the drivers side window amazingly also has a broke regulator and needs a new channel.
Which also really broke at the dealer when they had it for fix the reacalled blower motor.Any comments on how to deal with uncaring Chysler would be apprieciated. |

Well you can swallow the red pill or the blue pill. Take the red & keep buying chrysler products.lmao |
|
I own a 2002 with 50000 miles (yeah, low miles), it's been a great vehicle with not one problem. Still have original tires and brakes. I'm shopping for new tires though as I'm more concerned about their age than wear. Jeeps Rule! |

My husband and I have a 2002 liberty, we bought it used last year, and it came with only 40,000 miles, it was the first car we bought taht was less than 8 or 9 years old. I tried to convince my husband that a Chrysler vehicle was not the way to go, but he insisted, eben after our other 2 chrysler vehicles were nothing but trouble. A 98 intrepid ran hot 1 time, never ever started again, been in 100 shops, including the dealers shop, wow no one has a clue what is wrong with it. The 96 Neon, did the same exact thing, and i left it on the side of the road, and sold it for $50 (junk). Now this liberty has had problem after problem windows not working, the ball joints, fan problems, electrical problems. I am fed up, and will never buy or reccomend a chrysler vehicle to anyone, even if it is free.

Russell - the ball joints on the 2002 Liberty were recalled!! I had mine repaired a few years ago - was on a list at the local city dealership (apparently they did not supply enough replcement parts initially to meet demand). 6 months later stopped at a dealership an hour out in the 'country' and they replaced them the same day (they were at the 'tire might fall off' stage). Have you actually contacted Daimler-Crystler or is it just the local dealer that is 'refusing' to repair this? Admittedly, I do not know anything about time-lines on recalls, who/what is covered, etc. I do know that they do not cover the cost of any other associated damage, only the ball-joints and labor to replace and so they would not replace my $900 off-road tires that got trashed in the 6 months of waiting. If you reply by email, I can contact my local dealership to get info on the recall, etc. evans.notch.cabiin@gmail.com. p.s. I have had NO problems with the repalcements. |

If you're buying a Jeep Liberty... you're buying one with the problems we've all experienced. I've had all four Regulators replaced in less than 1.5 years... and I drive by myself so the rear windows have been down maybe 10 times. And don't get me started on the ball joint fiasco...I'm still riding around without a spare tire because Jeep considered my aluminum wheel destroyed by that failure "consequential damage" and wouldn't cover it. Nice customer service there.

i don`t know `bout all that. But i can say i ride my "05"liberty. with both rear windows down and up a "gizzion" times (dogs). sun ruff open to blow off heat.dealers suck. i luv my jeep. ps. we will try to buy an aluminum wheel you can`t break |
I also have a 2002 Jeep Liberty and have both rear window regulators or broke. I replaced one and it went out again. |

I have gone through and read alot of you talk about the rear window regulator problem in the 2002 jeep liberty. I know we all have a good complain, is there anything that we can do? It is definitely a defect in the window that needs to be recalled and fixed my the company. What can we do? Who do we need to contact? If chrysler would do their homework they would find out what we already know.

Both rear windows broke the Same Day! Within 2 hours of each other. This is a GSA Government Fleet Vehicle with only 40,000 miles on it and I am the only driver of this vehicle. The rear windows have only been used less then 10 times! Dealer said no recalls issued!$600.00 to tax payers to fork out. This vehicle stinks! |
