MANNY-I do plan on modifying my jeep, and i am doing it myself, not through the dealer. I am installing a huge audio system which will require i take everything out to be modified.
STEPHEN-I didnt get the winch and bumper thrown in because of my 23 week wait, I got then to add that because i told them "add the winch and bumper or screw the $1000 deposit, ill go somewhere else." at first he didnt believe me and was trying to call my bluff by going on his pc and pushing buttons, but about one min later he caved. My theory is any time you buy ANY new vehicle, you NEED to get at least $2k off the sticker or you are getting ripped off royal.

clee wrote: any one have any problems with a clutch ? 2008 Jeep wrangler...clutch is kaput...no offroading at all...one time in mud and - all gone...I am told this will most likely NOT be covered by warrenty...I guess it is a good thing I didn't want to do any offroading..any help ??? I have a 2008 wrangler Sahara which a month after owning it, the shifter (manual) kept jumping out of gear. The tech went to some site that shows similiar problems other people had and it turned out to be what he called a clutch disk plate which was under warranty. That was fixed but now it seems as though my clutch pedal is spongy

Is it normal for the muffler and tail pipe to be rusting after about six months of ownership. Looking at the back of the jeep is almost embarrasing because of the light coating of rust

joe,(sarasota)first, my wife and i spent time in bradenton/sarasota each year and love it! siesta key/st,armound circle/anna maria island. we drove our 08 sahara unlimited down this year and loved it! first time we took the front part of the hard top off and drove around the back way to siesta key back through to st 41. a mech friend of mine suggetsted if you can't find the answer in the owners manual and you don't (even though it's under warranty)want to take it back to the dealer, unhook the positive cable on the battery wait for 30 seconds and put it back on and he said that would rest set (hopefully)everything. at least give it a try. thanks for letting me share. sorry about loosing the reds! watching them at ed smith each spring was a real delight!

Stainless steel will still discolor and oxidize though at a much much lower rate than non-stainless.
