A dentist from Illinois today took delivery of the world's fastest single engine piston airplane, the Mooney Acclaim Type S, at the Mooney Airplane Company manufacturing plant in Kerrville. via KQXT-FM San Antonio

Actually, no. The Acclaim Type S is the same 280 bhp as the prior Acclaim.
