There hasn't been any new blood in the upper ranks for at LEAST 10 yrs!(I'm not for nor against, just asking) Lots of talk, but no one is out yet. i really think the younger senority will step forward with someone. We also could use some women in office. Lots of bright ladies working who would really make great chairperson or commiteeperson. And who knows maybe some of the people from Wrangler paint who already hold office could run...i think it is going to be interesting what happens.

Fedup wrote: We need to have a large turnout at the union meeting on Sept. 7th. Everyone I talk to is fed up with our union siding with the company on every issue that they want passed. I'm talking about 6 days a week, 10 hrs. a day. They told us when the line speed was going to be raised, that they were going to add 25 jobs per shift (lie) they were going to take things off of our jobs to compensate for the additional line speed.(lie)they added things to some jobs. And we were only going to work 9 hrs. a day.(lie) I don't know about the rest of you but I for one am tired of being lied to by the union that we pay dues to each month. And since they can't even give us a copy of the local agreement to look over before the union meeting, which is a first time thats ever happened in the 18 years I've been there. That tells me that they are scared for us to see whats in it. I know I'm going to this union meeting to vote NO!!! 5 new jobs up for bid today...oh wait, only 2 because the other 3 are jobs they had before and stopped and now are rebidding them.( 10th Annv. rubicon upgrade..formerly COD2). I agree with you these lies need to stop. We will never see the 25 jobs he promised. Where would we put them? we already work ontop of each other in trim!! By the way, what are the Executive committe doing on the other side with no one working??? Why are they not visiting us? Why are they not laid off with the rest of the workers?? Only the chairman holds working senority out of order due to lack of work. Why have we not seen any of them? If we don't get to vote until after the meeting we could be there all nite!! This is crazy!! See you there next Friday at 7 sharp.

The workers are the union and we need to fill the union hall on the 7th and voice our dissatisfaction, with a NO VOTE!!! They think were all just a bunch of pawns that they can push around. Lets show them!!

Paint will have its own steward but that is all. Not enough people to get its ouw commitee person. This is not a wrangler paint topix board...this is a Chrysler taking over supplier paint topix board. We are Chrysler..you may be joining us soon. What is happeining to us will soon be your headache as well.

They have to get out there and get to know people tho. Meetings and also on the plant floor (on there own time). I only hope I can see SOME change b4 I retire. Good luck to all that run tho!

RETIRED wrote: <quoted text>can't retire on your looks = pension over $6 billion underfunded Wow what a pathetic retirement you must have "RETIRED". You worked all those years and have all that money, and the best you can do with your time is spend it on this site aggravating every person. Don't you think we know that our pensions and our lively hood is at stake! Thats why were here, to voice our solutions to the many problems at hand. Hell if I were you I'd be off traveling around the country, or world for that matter. Rather than trolling on this site, trying to get your jollies off.
