I have a 06 Liberty and was wondering if anyone else is having problems with thier 06? This will be my 4th gas cap in 3 weeks that I have to get replaced. Also the 4th time in 3 weeks that I will have to get my malfunction sensor reset. I also am having problems with my car jerking a little when it shifts into a higher gear and with it idling rough. The service department says though it must be my imagination because everything is ok according to their computer.

Our big problem with the 06 Liberty is the power windows. The first was the driver's door. Apparantly the glass disconnected from the mechanism that raises and lowers it. Jeep paid for the repair under warranty. This has happened twice more since, once on the way back from the shop where the left passenger window was being repaired for the same problem.

Mechanically, it is perfect, though we would expect as such on a car that's not quite a year old.

Well I am suppossed to pick up my 06 liberty, with 14,000 miles on it, today from the dealer. They had it in there 3 times already for the same problem. The jeep idle was acting screwy and it was loosing power.
1st they said it needed a valve adjustment.2 days later it sounded like somone was under my hood with a hammer,it was bangging that loud.so i brought it back.
2nd time they said I needed to replace the valvesbecause it was misfiring and could not be adjusted. To top it all off when I went to pick it up this time at the dealer ,after 2 weeks, they had scratched my passenger side of my jeep, the hood, and had spilled something on the bumper that would not come off.So of course I was not happy .I brought it to them in showroom condition so I expected it back in showroom condition. They replaced my bumper and the plastic fender on the passenger side and buffed out the scratches on the hood. All seemed ok for 2 weeks then it happened again.
3rd time. This time the dealer said I needed my heads replaced ,along with the valves. So again after 2 weeks they call me to pick it up.The stupid idiots not only scratched it to hell again but also got grease all over my interoir and exteroir. So this time I was really pissed!I wouldn't except the car so they said don't worry we can detail it for ya it will be fine after the next dayi GO BACK THEY WASHED IT!!! Thats it So ....after screaming at them they said they would take care of it now they have had my car 2weeks and 3 days.I am going to pick it up today. It had better be done right for their sake.I already called chrysler and told them about my problems but nobody has contacted me yet.I am begining to think they don't give a shit either.Well wish me luck I'll update ya Tommorow.

Oh wow. Was it all covered under warranty? How did they determine that it needed all that work?

Yes it was all covered under warranty. But I went to pick it up last nght and it is still all scratched up so again I would not accept it.They are supposed to be fixing it today. We will see.I tried to contact the owner of the dealership but he has not returned my call yet. This has gotten beyond rediculous.Today is the fourth time they will be detailing my car this week.

I am having the same issue. My window will roll down but not up. The cable that connects the window and the motor isn't connected anymore. Does anyone have an answer to how to fix this?

check your states lemon law... generally speaking, 3 or 4 times for the same problem within 12 or 18 months.(I live in VA and it's 18 months). I've had my 06 in the shop a total of 12 times...almost every time for windows... I've had every window replaced... more than once... drivers front... 6 times, or more? I lost count!
