97 CHEROKEE - keeps blowing oxygen sensor

My 97 cherokee keeps blowing oxygen sensors. I had a major ($500) tuneup done as recommended, but it hasn't fixed the problem and the check engine light is back on. The car hesitates ocassionally, and can make a popping noise, but it's fine on the highway at
high speeds. The mechanic has recommended new fuel injectors. Any ideas.

Try testing your O2 sensor with a voltmeter.
The two white wires are the heater wires. They should measure about 4 ohms (disconnected from the circuit) They get their 12v supply from the fuel pump relay.

The other two wires (black & gray) can only be measured by back-probing
