I have an S Type R which has been brilliant until the other day when I pressed the accelerator to the floor and it accelerated sedately!
The supercharger is spinning but not delivering the goods! When pressing the accelerator to kick-down a noise can be heard that I'm told is pinking (it hasn't done this before). At tickover everything looks and sounds fine under the bonnet - even when revved it still sounds good until you go to the rear of the car and listen to the exhausts. Both exhausts sound as though the car is misfiring.
I don't know what to check next. Does anyone have experience of this. Your ideas greatly appreciated.
