Transmission does not downshift to first when coming to stop

It's 2002 GMC W5500 (basically an Isuzu with a GMC badge) automatic that I just had serviced @ 60,000 miles. The shop flushed the transmission. Now it doesn't want to downshift into first when I come to a stop. It makes a vibration/grinding noise. Truck wasn't do this before. The shop also supposedly changed the transmission control module after I brought it back. I also noticed the J Brake is no longer engaging too. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have a 2001 gmc w4500 and it has the same problem. It does not down shift to first when I stop, not all the time though. When it does happen it shakes like crazy, do you know the problem?

I have a 04 w4500 and it does the same thing, gets stuck in 2nd gear and vibrates severely, this is a replaced transmission in my truck. Is your transmission light on? mine comes on every now and then for about 5 days and abs light then goes away
