genesis coupe clutch/flywheel

our HGC recntly was deemed to have a clutch and flywheel and several other parts that needed to be replaced after only 60,000 miles. They proceeded to tell my wife that it was due to "driver abuse" and would not be covered under warantee. Now this is a 49 year old woman who has been driving a clutch since she was 15. I saw where there was a settled class action law suit about the Hyundai Tiberon involving the exact same situation. Has anyone out there had the same thing happen to you?

I have experienced clutch slippage in higher gears when power is added, RPM's rise w/o change in speed. There's a YouTube video showing this.

I brought this to the attention of my dealer at my 30K mile checkup yesterday. They said they wanted me to commit to $1000 to determine the cause of the problem, and predicted as much as $5500 to replace the flywheel, saying that about half of such cases result in warranty replacement; the other half are assumedly blamed on the driver.

I have driven MT cars for 60 years and have never experienced clutch failure so early.

I declined the $1000 checkup, since the slippage has no effect on normal driving. I detect a coverup and an effort to devalue my car for re-purchase since the record of maintenance described the clutch as 'ruined' and the dealership has been trying to repurchase the car and sell me another.

I think there is a design problem here which Hyundai is ignoring.

I get a "tick tick tick" when I turn my GC off. I took it in and the fly wheel was replaced. When I got it back it still ticked so the dealer took it back and had the transmission replaced. The ticking is still there plus at 3000 - 3200 rpms there is a harmonic vibration that resonates through the dash, but goes when it drops below 3000. There's. 22,000 miles on the car and I see it going back to the dealer until that's rectifies. Any thoughts?
