Well, I guess it's time to take it back to your local Honda dealer.

Help !!! I bought a brand new Honda Pilot Touring on December 2, 2010. It rained very hard for about 10days, then on december 20, 2011 the "check starter system" warning light came on, even I can start and drive my car alright.

I took the car in for service on December 22, 2011 and the technician did find water in the unit, the warning light went away after he dried it. After 7 days, the service technician and manager could not find the reason for the leak or duplicate the condition. They asked me if I am OK to take the car back and further observe to see if it will happen again. Since I really need a car to get around, I picked up the car on December 30, 2010. Even I have been driving it in the rain for 4 days, the light did not come on. I am still very worried. The dealer will not exchange it for a new car. Is it covered under the Lemon Law? What should I do?

You had one problem with the car. It still started and didn't strand you. It was fixed and hasn't happened again. What's your problem?

I had this same problem. If you look in your door jam there should be a tag that has the security code for your radio. The anti theft device is whats keeping your radio from working. You have to insert the code to make it work again. I hope your sticker is still there..thank god mine was.
I had the exact same problem. I went to my local dealer, and my code was located on the left side of the glovebox when open. Fixed the radio problem, but not the one-touch window...(Mine's an '05)

I had a 2003 pilot and I was very disappointed with it too. Then I decided to switch to CRV and so far it runs well except it is not very sound proof.

I have a 2006 pilot EX/L. The engine light goes on and off at will. I got the codes read and was told it was the o2 sensors in the front of the engine. I changed those out and the check engine light came back on the next day. I had it read again and was told the o2 sensors in the rear of catalytic convertor. Well, today I spent 400.00 changing those out. Before I left put the suv in drive, the check engine light came back on along with the VTM-4 light. They pulled it back into the shop and put it on the fancy machinery and 4 new problems came up but nothing explaining the VTM-4 light. Now the say it is probably just a short in the computer somewhere and want me to pay $69 dollars so they could order flow charts for the vehicle to chase down the problem. I am tired of this vehicle and will not be buying another one period!

I think your biggest problem is incompetent mechanics. If a shop wants to charge you for the tools to fix your car, you need to run out of there FAST.

Hey:
I have a 2009 Pilot Touring and have had the exact same issue with the "battery".I have had the car to the dealer 4 times with this "dead battery "thing ,have had 2 new batteries and several days in the shop for these problems.I too was told the last time(2 months ago)that the moonroof was draining the battery and supposedly had that computer and/or wiring problem corrected....NOT.
I have never left the interior lights on or abused the system in any way,and yet I now have a Pilot that can't be trusted to start wherever or whenever and I think that is a real safety issue not to mention totally inconvenient and getting really frustrating!

You have a "parasitic" drain on your battery. It's not difficult to diagnose, you just need to find a shop that knows what they're doing.

Purchased a 2006 Pilot on June 10th. Was unable to drive before purchase as they had to bring it from another dealership and then had titled it to me before giving me the keys. As we drove out of the dealership we noticed a noise that sounded like a tractor trailer bearing down on us but there was no truck around. The next day my husband noticed a noise and we took it back to the dealer ship and they said "No problem" . My husband has ascertained that when driving in 1500-1800 RPMs we get a loud vibration like a resonance tendancy. The Honda dealership has now heard it (said it sounded like a helicopter) but can't fix it. They first replaced the rear ball bearings. Now they don't know what to do and I have a defective "NEW" car. Have any of you noticed a really loud noise? It builds to a very loud noise and then cuts out when you increase the RPMs.
We have a 2004 Honda Pilot. We have noticed a vibration and hesitation with the vehicle as we cruise along somewhere about 29-30 mph. The vibration has also been occurring at about 40-45 mph. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does its very noticeable. We have taken it to the mechanic at least four times. Each time, the mechanic said the computer doesn't show anything and that he didn't hear the noise when he test drove it. Our passengers have heard it so we know we aren't imagining it. Called Honda dealer and they said there were no known problems. Being that so many owners have similar issues you figure Honda would know about it.
