I took a chance and bought a 1983 Honda Shadow 750 that is in excellent like new condition with only 16K on it for only $500. However he said that he drove it to work last fall and when he came out it wouldn't start so he hauled it home and put it in the garage for the winter. It has no spark. Where should I start looking to see what the problem is? Thanks for your help.

If it will crank but not start check the ignition boxes with a test light while cranking and see if they pulse if they dont then check the fuses if they are good then its probably bad wiring or bad ignition boxes also check coils and see if there is any power there while cranking and check all connections under your side panels
