Anyone seen or heard of this? One minute the radio is working fine. Stop, park, come back an hour later and the power to the radio is gone.
Fuse tests and works fine. No indicator on radio is on, not even the one that would show if the battery was disconnected and the radio code would need to be entered. Everything else in the car appears to be ok.

I've got a 03 with the same issue, jumped the dead battery while the alarm went off...I was ready to enter the 5 digit code, but the radio won't even power on. Vcr powers on to eject tape, but won't work. I would replace radio with aftermarket, but I don't want to loose my entertainment sys.

We have a 2000 Odyssey. The radio stopped working months ago. I couldn't figure out what the problem was! The radio's anti-theft light was blinking. The CD won't even power on. That is it! no one could listen to the radio or use CD any more. Anyone have this issue? Our battery was in an working condition. Sigh!!! I couldn't believe that this is happening. I owned many cars, this is the 1st time a radio dies on me....

Please help!

Ha Ha Ha, it was a fuse. Fuse #9 on the passenger side, ACC SOCKET, to be exact. I replaced it & now the stereo & vcr work again. Be sure to check all your fuses, not just the stereo fuse. I can't believe I drove around without music because of a stupid fuse!!!

We had the car jumped and now the radio shows ERR. Of course we pressed a million buttons.
Where is the fuse? Under the hood? Where do I get a new fuse? Any auto parts supply store or Honda only?

The radio in our 99 has not worked for 7 months along with the car lighters. I took the advice and checked fuse #9 and it was blown. I took the 15 (license plate light) from the one next to it and the radio finally asked me for the code. After inserting the code it works again. We have not had a radio for 7 months. I did not look at that fuse because it was hard to get to and the ACC did not seem like the fuse that would fix it. Now I just need to go get another fuse.

Thanks,

Mike

What a great post! Thank you!!! The radio in my 2003 Odyssey just displayed these symptoms (radio not working but Anti-Theft blinking) 2 days ago. I was suspecting a fuse but couldn't come up with a good match from the fuse description in the manual. I did a web search on 'Odyssey radio fuse' and found this info, took the spare 15A fuse and put it in the #9 slot and no more driving in silence. What does ACC stand for anyways?

Great post! Thank you. The fuse puller and the extra fuse is in the main fuse box under the hood.

I've had constant issues with my "check engine" light coming on. Got up this morning to a dead battery. After having the battery jumped, the check engine light isn't on. My CD was out so I pushed it in. I got an error code, ERRor COde 2, that isn't listed in the manual. Radio/cd do not work at all. Thought I didn't need it until I drove in rush hour and wanted the traffic report! Help -- I really don't want to pay for a diagnostic.

I've had my 2000 in several times for the check engine light, which recently came on again (3 days out of the shop). Had to have the battery jumped this morning. Good news -- check engine light is off. Bad news -- radio/cd don't work. Error code isn't one listed in the manual. The cd was ejected when I got in the car so I pushed it back in. It's almost in, but not quite. Don't know it that caused the problem or is a result of.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Virgo

Be careful you don't wind up doing someone else's work today, Virgo. There are all sorts of little tricks to persuade you to take pity on them, from pretending to be ill to making such a hash of everything that you can't bear to watch for a moment longer. Then you are likely to be asked to put in some overtime, at the expense of your social life. Grr.
