Candace Watson from the Chamber and her team deserve a pat on the back! I know Candace and respect her work ethic and determination. Actually Candace would make a great candidate to run the Chamber, this gal has a lot of great marketing ideas! Ed is nice guy but it's time for a change.

Candace did do a great job as her team did also. She is lucky to have Alan G and Paul B on her team. Mr. Ed Wallace is the head of the team and it seems to me he does a good job. I am a member of the chamber and a local motorcycle vendor. Let's keep things positive. This event is good for Bellefontaine and Logan County.

I totally agree that Candace is lucky to have Alan and Paul, they are awesome in assisting her in the event. I also agree that the event is good for Bellefontaine and Logan County and hope it continues for many years but in my opinion (I am also a member of the chamber) I feel there needs to be new leadership at the chamber. I feel that Ed is complacent in his position and I do not see any programs in place that assists businesses. I was told by Steve Austin that Ed purchased an auto outside of Logan County. Now what does that say about Mr Ed Wallace?

But why do you hide behind your keyboard and not let everyone know who you are ? I am chapter director of Top Of Ohio Wings. My name is Tim Harman. I have had a person to person talk with Mr. Wallace. He seems to care and be a straight shooter. Ed even told and talk about things with me I did not agree with but he talk to me to my face. I respect and support a person like this even if we don't agree on everything.

I had a talk with Candace about 2 weeks ago about the "rally". And about the downtown events. She told me that Susan Froebe was more in charge of dealing with the businesses downtown and that she was in charge or the tourism aspect and the rally. I wanted to know what the businesses involvement in the event was going to be, and what other things would be going on in the downtown area and was told that they were trying to make it more of a motorcycle event and it was geared towards the tourism and totally towards adults. Now , yes, my children are adults, but all 3 of my granddaughters were there. There were as many children at this event as there adults and there wasn't a whole lot of things to keep them "entertained" during the event. And honestly in the past there were things going on after the bikes passed, and this year within 1/2 hour it was like they folded up the streets. I really think it needs to be a "family oriented event". They had their party Friday night down by the elks, and that was more adult oriented. I'm gonna clue ya in on something. When hubby and I were young parents we never left the kids at the sitter when we went to dinner for our anniversary. Why? Hubby's thought was the anniversary is to celebrate our marriage, which is about our unity and that is about us being a family and thats how our kids complete us. After 25 years, that really is an anchor spot with us. We went to very few "company parties" or anything that wasn't "family friendly".
