Aftermarket CB Radio

1990 Goldwing minus CB radio. Riding with group, CB is a MUST. Running Maxon HCB-10C with two headsets in helmet. OEM CB terribly expensive and hard to find. Traced CB's wiring and made splice harness and relay for receive cutout. Off the bike, works fine, hook into bikes system, press PTT switch and get ear splitting howl. Turn intercom volume past 1/3rd gets faint "whistle" in earphones. Air rider had a kit but has gone all bluetooth but won't do custom modes. Any ideas?
