It seems as if little progress has been made in finding the flaws in the Sunpass system since the last report. I would like the Sunpass people to provide a picture of a the axel vehicle.

Recently, we discovered our funds for sunpass wasn't recording at all. While viewing our monthly statement online, we also noticed charges were repeated for the same date, same hr, and minutes over and over again. Sunpass needs to do something to correctly have there system operate correctly.

Sun Pass a Positive Experience for me! Sunpass has been fantastic!! They have NEVER over charged me nor have there been any transponder discrepancies. I have saved significant travel time as well as money throughout the state of Florida using Sun Pass. I would recommend to all regular commuters of the Tampa and Orlando areas.

I'm surprised that SunPass isn't using the fact that people drive through the lane to quickly as a cop-out. However, my boyfriend had been told on numerous occasions that his SunPass replinished via company credit card did not have any funds available on it.

Maybe its time for those who have had these gross overcharges to take up a notch. Time to notify the BBB and the state attorney generals office. And maybe our governor's office too.
Why should this business be allowed to charge for services they aren't providing? Charging folks for vehicles they don't use/own on the roads and overcharging is still fraud.

Apparently people don't realize that there dealing with the State of Florida. Any time that there involved; your wrong, and their slow, and they dont care because they have the power to take your money like it or not with out your permission.

I've only had to contact Sun Pass one time. They solved the problem right away and were very helpful.

I've seen two interviews with SunPass representatives and both appeared condescending and dripping with insincere apologies for the gross mistakes that they seem so prone to make.
I refused to get this device from the beginning because of the potential for abuse. Now, the apparent lack of any real concern or resolution seems to indicate I was right.

Personally, I think they should start at the top and replace everyone until someone who understands customer service and accountability emerges. Everyone I've heard so far sounds like the engineer in the cell phone ad, "We are aware we have a problem. And we're working on it." Right.

Tell that to the lady whose credit they've ruined and the guy who apparently has a ten-axle Honda. Maybe a class-action filing would get their attention.

Wake up SunPass!

When you pay by cash as I do, always get a receipt because if you do get a notice, fine etc. you have the receipts to prove the tolls were paid. This will take longer but well worth the time to prevent, fines, suspension of your license etc and you will have less head aches.

Anybody ever notice that when you are dealing with a bureaucracy that this type of stuff happens?
When you read the article the very first thing that tells you that this is going to be an never ending story is the comment made by the clerk that Joe Pothier
talked to when he was checking the bill he recieved from Sunpass, "She read off my vehicles listed online and she said,'You have a ten-axle vehicle,'" Pothier recalls. "And I said,'Ma'am, you just read off my three vehicles. I have a van, a Honda CRV and a Cavalier. You can't even make 10 axles out of those vehicles", that person doesn't have a clue and the office is probably full of them. So sit back with your popcorn and soda 'cause this is going to get interesting.

When you think of the number of vehicles that travel each day through the system all over the state, mistakes/errors are going to be made. I commute every day and go through 4 different sunpass lanes, and over the last 3 years, I have never, ever had a problem. No overcharges, no problems replenishing, nothing. In addition, I am saving money by not paying cash. That adds up over time. Think of how often Banks make a mistake, this is no different.

I have been having problems of the change collecting machine not recognizing the amount I put in. This has happened twice at the 22street enterence to St. Pete..I think that untill they can run the "Sunpass" properly we should all not use the pass

Thank you very much for your reporting of this issue. In checking, for the first time (shame on me) my Sun Pass charges, there is a problem as I was overcharged. I have asked for billings back to 1/06.
Keep up the good reporting!

I'm definitely not using Sunpass anymore. I recently received a bill from them stating that I used an empty pass and owed them money. I haven't even used my pass in several months. And when I contacted them to inform them I was basically told they'd look into it. I never received a response until I got a letter telling me the pass was suspended until I paid them. And now everytime I call I get a "we'll look into it and call you" then they never call.

I have used mine and my wife has used hers, both for over 3 years, never a problem. Computers do make mistakes and so do humans. I recently got a letter telling me my battery was low, to change it. Sunpass will fix it, concidering the number of cars that FLY at HIGH Speed thu the lanes, not surprised there are not more problems. Contact the Gov.'s office for an investigation.

I have been a Sunpass customer for three years and travel extensively throughout Florida. I have received 4 toll violations in the past three months and only in South Florida. Previously I have never had a problem. I am starting to see a trend.
