The green "D" (drive) lamp on the wife's CR-V has just started flashing whenever you stop and shift into Park, before turning the motor off. I does not flash while driving. What does this warning signal mean? tks rich

ps. no problems with operation of vehicle.

The flashing warning light is supposed to signify a problem with the transmission. The thing is, it doesn't indicate any specific problem, but my guess is that the most likely cause is that it is simply low on fluid. Check the level and add if required. If it stays on you will have to see the dealer. Good luck.
