I have the exact same model year, and mine worked intermittantly but now doesn't work at all.

My mechanic said that there was no easy (inexpensive) fix.

I merely bought a cheap battery operated clock and keep that in the dashboard cubby hole.

This is a very common issue with many late model vehicles. I offer a reasonable repair service and also have the removal instructions, check it out! www.autoclockrepair.com
Drop me a note if you have any questions

don't believe the mechanic, Tom,BillR....
I wasn't able to repair my clock per the below, but it DID lead me to finding which resistor has the poor connection...

Am trying now to find the part to replace it now.

I had the same problem with my 1999 it would work sometimes and not others. I took the clock out and when you take apart you can see all the sauter marks. If you look really close you will see small cracks. I took a sauter iron and remelted
The connections and it works fine.

Click on the link - you can fix it in about 1/2 hour.

My 98 honda crv had the same problem.. my clock would not turn on. I watched a couple of YouTube videos I bought a soldering gun an resolder the exact ones in the video and now its working fine.
