Dear Doctor: I read an article that claimed unless you own a high-performance car using premium gas is a waste of money.

Hey Bill with the 03 Honda, run, don't walk, away from the stealership. If the car feels normal and you've only got 60K on it, it doesn't need struts. One of the biggest ripoffs going.

Disagree with the premium gas situation. You make it sound like premium is "better" than regular, when it isn't. All gasolines have at least some detergent additives in them and a "higher knock rating" means it's less volatile to resist pre-ignition.
