95 honda accord

i have my 95 honda accord 2.2l inline 4 cylinder it is an automatic i was wondering if there are any ways to beef up my transmission

Good Question-we have a 1994 and 2002 4-cylinder auto. The 2002 is very sluggish and even less fun to drive even though the specs and body style are almost the same. We did have a problem that was covered by extended warranty on the trans due to failure of shifting from lower gears.

my tans in my 95 accord and it sucks. its auto and when i race i normally shift at five grand or more. But i also learned that its piont less to keep an auto because a manual is easy to swap in its place. The manual trans is cheaper and all it takes is a new ECU. If im wrong im just wrong. It just depends on what u are doing for performance purposes?

The auto trans does cost about 2500 new. A new manual cost about 1500 plus a good ecu is about 250 to 300 bucks, so do it.

i have a 2 door 95 accord and its pretty sweet. but when i hit 80 the speedometer drops to 0. what causes this? its like theres a frickin ghost in my car. but its got 195k and a 2nd engine so its probley on its last leg.

I have the same car with the same speedometer problem. Did you ever find a fix for the problem?

I have the same car...same problem...As for speedometer there is something wrong with the sensor. Usually mine will move if I am passing a police car with its radar on...but thats about it. To me, not worth fixing and if you really want to know how fast you are going get a miniature speedometer to put on the side.

Sidenote: Is it worth it to fix the engine seal on a 95 honda?

My ABS light is on inside my 95 auto-transmission accord, what could the problem be, and what can I do to fix this. Additionaly, when I shift between gears, there is a jerk, and a pause between the time I shift and the time the gear locks into position. The car vibrates when in gear, and I think it is either the engine mounts and/or transmission mounts. What can I do to fix these problems?

transmission problems??? try changing the fluid every once in awhile, it works wonders... you'd be amazed how well a car runs when it's maintained properly!!!!!!

My 95 Accord Ex 4 cyl vtec speedometer quit working. Cruise control doesnt' work and miles stopped rolling. Do i need a new vehicle speed sensor?? also idol jumps back and forth between 1000 and 2000 RPM when i let off gas or when car goes from D to P....what could be causing this??

For you all out there....having speedo probs.....change your Vss sensor.That is vehicle speed sensor.This will aleiviate all problems.

Vss is located just under the distributor cap....all the way down to the transsmision.
