They're fixing a minor problem. No big deal.

They have to replace weak actuators—control mechanisms—in the exhaust-heat-recovery systems of the 2011-12 Prius, for free. The weakened actuators can cause engine coolants to leak, making the hybrid system’s warning light turn on and causing the car to run in safe mode.

Why so many problems with Prius?

There aren't many problems with them. Why are you so worried about one problem?

Because people should get good value for their money. They have a lot of problems.

No, actually they don't have a lot of problems. Did you pull up a list of Prius V problems to base your statement on? Did you pull up a list of problems with GM, Ford, Chrysler or BMWs so you would have something to compare with?

I hope you recognize the person you're attempting to have rational disussion with is:....
(A) One person posting under many usernames--often responding to himself, and
(B) Only interested in keeping negative comments about Toyota alive, and
(C) Adding little or nothing of any value to these discussions--on the contrary, most posts by this individual are merely frivolous and vexatious nonsense.

I am going by the Prius track record. Going by past performance the Prius has a lot of recalls and problems.

I owe no apologies for speaking the truth.
Everything said about your conduct is true and the evidence is there for all to see.
You are in no position to complain.

A quick check shows 6 recalls and 2 service campaigns, not too bad considering about two and a half million sold, don't you think?

If you call telling the truth about your nonsense and those childish games you play here, then I freely admit to being a troublemaker.
But it's a well known fact I only cause trouble for those who deserve it.
You sir, are truly deserving of whatever trouble comes your way.
Better get used to it.

We know that, most everybody else here knows that, and furthermore the world knows that, so no further explanation is necessary.
Because it's the truth.
Regardless of what the resident naysayers produce, the guy you're dealing with is only here to keep the issue alive, and really has little or nothing of any consequence to offer in this discussion.

Prius has twenty-eight recalls, not six. Add service campaigns to that.

I believe Liner was referring to the Prius V (2011/12) model, not the entire Prius lineup.
At least that was what the discussion was all about when this latest kerfiffle began.
As usual however, things got off track.

I did a quick check on Wiki. Might not be perfect, but good enough for the nonsense on this board.
Ask JJ for a link to his #s.
