When will Detroit cars ace Consumer Reports tests?
The way Consumer Reports tests vehicles is not a secret. In fact, CR regularly has auto companies come to its Connecticut testing facility to learn how the CR testers work.

They never will no matter how good the U.S. cars are. They preach to their readership. Toyota will always finish at the top no matter how many zllions of their cars are recalled. Too bad.
