What Good Is a Halo Car Anyway?

There are 1 comment on the Popular Mechanics story from Aug 31, 2012, titled What Good Is a Halo Car Anyway?. In it, Popular Mechanics reports that:

Journalists and carmakers love to toss around the term halo car. But what the heck is it really? Do we even know? The halo car is often described as a figurehead for a brand, a car that may sell in smaller volumes but that captures the public imagination.

Ford doesn't have a Halo car..

Dodge has the SRT Viper,...and GM the Corvette. Ford can actually come out on top without a Halo car...the Mustang can have Dual purpose. It can have the most powerfull Ford motor,.. and the Camaro never will. GM won't let the Camaro have it's most powerfull motor at the same time as the Corvette does.
People would buy a Camaro at half the price, with a back seat....
Chrysler won't let the Challenger have the most powerfull motor as the Viper...for the same reason....

The Mustang will rule the Muscle Car Market and the fastest Sports Car Market in the USA.....
