The Escalade is a beautiful vehicle. I have a question, and I'm not sure if anyone can answer it, here. I have heard that the Hybrid Model shuts down the engine when you come to a stop. That doesn't sound right to me. That constant stopping and starting the engine in city traffic can't be good for the engine, in the long run. I hope the information I was given is not true.

Does anyone know how the hybrid system works?

Okay. Obviously I need to find a Cadillac dealer and ask him. Being that today is Sunday, I thought someone in this Forum had some knowledge about the Hybrid Model of the Escalade.

I'll check with a dealer.

It has no distress on the engine.
