I am 16 years old and just got a 1995 Jimmy from my uncle for free. It was sitting for a while so i jumped it to start it. There was a lot of white smoke and a fair amount of oil driping form the exhaust. Could this be because it was sitting and oil was leaking in for the past couple months threw a cracked head gasket or is it because the block as a crack in it?

If you are in California, I just had a rebuilt engine put in my 95 Jimmy and then it was totaled (rear end damage only) selling as is for parts see Craig's List San Gabriel Valley
