I can understand the value of an AWD vehicle in bad weather. I swear by my Jeep Grand Cherokee and have owned one since '92.
I test drove the Hummer (H2) and wasn't impressed. With the transmission hump in the cabin, it becomes impracticable and can only seat 4 people plus the cargo space in the rear. Off road it handled as well as the jeep, but on road, the jeep road better. Gas mileage is also the same or better in the jeep. The only reason that I would consider an H1 or H2 is if they put electric motors in the wheels, the batteries in the space that would have housed the transmission, a smaller diesel motor with an electric generator under the hood and a lighter body.(Like aluminum and carbon fiber). Now that would be a Hybrid worth buying! |

excellent...when I buy one of these, maybe I can stop filling those viagra & levitra prescriptions

But will your health insurance cover a Hummer? Speaking of which, a bumper sticker: "I asked my wife for a HUMMER... and all I got was this lousy truck!" |

This incontinent mistake in metal is nothing less than a pig in panties. I mean, come on. Am I the only one here with eyes? Looks like a fish, feels like a fish, steers like a cow.

Milage ratings to be ashamed of.
And I would bet my 2000 Subaru with winter tires on all four is more stable on icy, snow covered roads. In fact I know it is. It has excellent balance and a lower center of gravity. Shame on Hummer and anyone that buys one of those gas swilling pig-mobiles. Get real American car buyers. The minimum should be a 4cyl with 30MPG + highway on any new vehicle. BTW, my Subaru has 150K miles and still looks and runs great. There is a built in 'green' bonus from longevity and thrift. |

A vehicle like this and the article states "The cabin is a little tight on arm room front and rear, a little short on knee room in back."
Yikes. |

Hummer is the only true suv GM makes. take a new tahoe off road and youll tear the whole plastic front end off the FIRST RUTS you hit .the H-2 is still a nice suv but who decided to put 20s on a suv the ride is fine on highway but you start to hit the trails and you feel the wholes. any wheel over an 18 wheel is to big not enough side walls COME ON GUYS LETS KEEP IT REAL .put the 17s back on them.with the TA KO TIRES
