Lack of parts from Japan halts GM production

A shortage of parts from Japan will force General Motors Co. to halt production at its pickup plant in Shreveport, La., next week, the company said Thursday.

Come on, it's a big company. Surely they can fling open the shutters on one of their old plants. I mean, there aren't any other jobs around so the workers are probably still hanging around the hiring hall.
