I mean honestly if you don't know what your striking for and even have the idea that you are being used as a tool for something that is not even really anything to do with you and you are putting your job/career on the line wouldn't you say "wait a min I'm not doing it"? I am the master of my own destiny I'm not gonna let some anti establishment orgenization make those choices for me and just follow them blindly.I think something needs to be done about the amount of power the union has, I think they have gotten too powerful and in this day and age don't use that power for anything but self gain.

What makes you believe they don't know what they're striking for? Likely it's you that doesn't know what they're striking for and placing your ignorance on them by trying to make other ignorants think they don't know.

SIB, I don't think it really matters. At 4pm, GM announced that due to the lack of sales, they are closing 4 plants. I think they said 15,000 jobs are going to get cut. Times are changing and the American people do not have enough money to buy Corporate American Products because the companies have outsourced. What did they think would happen. Unions better realize what is coming for them.

That doesn't mean they didn't know.

I did not choose the moniker Seenitbefore for no reason. I have witnessed the outsourcing of jobs since the eighties. NAFTA just made it easier.

I remember these times back in the eighties when the entire country was in an uproar about corporate acquisitions, piecing those companies out all because the parts of companies were worth more than their parts. Just like Will Geer's part in the movie Pretty Woman. This country was outraged at the entire idea that American companies would acquire other companies by whatever means and destroy them all in the name of profit.

The same thing is happening twenty plus years later. The one thing that has changed? The people accept it and even applaud it. There was a time when American companies were a source of pride and loyalty to the American people and workers. When American companies were the envy of foreign companies and countries. Now American corporations are nothing less than pirates and cannibals of their own people. And the people just love a good pirate movie now don't they.

Enjoy this while it lasts because the ultimate consequence is going to be something else to experience.

Just think of the honor and pride of being in the richest and most free country in the world striving and being groupies of making a Communist and Authoritarian country the most prosperous and financially powerful country in the world.

The pride of that should just send shivers up ones spine.

ok freeze you jobs, rehicnitb4 I get another post that I U uu.net or whateverscreensaver says is your reply, emphasise is, do U know what is is? Do you know how to make an upside down question mark in your post. Didn't think so. Don't end a sentence with a preposition, U got bigger issues.

Venting is correct on a national level when a strike vote is authorized. The national settles, pattern agreements, issues resolved, or at least voted on and live with the agreement.

Now as venting might have wondered, "How exactly did U and U get here, right now?" "wELL, we reply" said bloggers and internet folks, when the UNION NEEDED THE VOTES VOTE YES BARGAINING POWER.

months later national is settled and now these locals are flaring up, now listen to the post

Communism is when the government has all of the power, wages for everyone are frozen, and people have no incentive to better themselves because their wage wont change either way. That is exactly what the formation of a union is creating, inflated wages and no incentive to get an education and a good paying job.
