I read the article regarding Champion Ford Buying Ferraro Ford. I respect the article I quess but I feel there should be alittle more research done before printing some things.

1. Champion Ford did not buy Ferraro Ford, there is no purchase. Ford wants the point closed, Champion is the closest dealer so they have to sup. the buyout.

2. Mark Winkler has a half of one percent ownership of Champion Ford.

3. Good luck Mr. Ferraro.

I am a life long Ferrao customer, I went to Champion Ford twice and just for the record I would go to walmart service center befroe ever entering that place. They rip you off, Lie to you. And will not give you your keys to your trade back unless you make a deal with them

If a car dealer refuses to give you back your keys there is a very simple solution - just excuse yourself and call the police and report that you are being held against your will so please send an officer ASAP. Be sure to stick tou your guns when the cops arrive and insist they arrest the a**hole who refuses to give you your keys. You only have to do this once and the other sales people will see and not be so stingy with your keys - it works - i know from an experience.
Plus if a car salesman is arrested he can lose his license to sell cars + you can file a complaint with the secretary of state pennsylvania.

Looks like I wiil have to switch manufacturers, I have never had such a horrible experience as I did when dealing with Champion Ford. Their Finance guy Steve Keifer was the most obnoxious rude and arrogant person I have ever met in my life. Guess I'll switch to foreign cars next time I am in the market!! Ferraro Ford was a great delaership.

I bought 3 new cars from Ferraro Ford, and I was never comfortable there.(Management was arrogant and fake - had no idea how to be "real" and not plastic) I graduated high school with the owner,( I knew him fairly well) yet it was asking him too much in order to get any kind of a deal. Never happened. Then I had work done to my car a few years ago and was incorrectly overcharged. Never went back! The closing does not surprise me.

Champion Ford people were jerks when I went there and my one friend had the same experience with them with the keys and pressuring her to sign these papers today! She finally got mad and said you don't give me my keys I am calling the police. I went in to look at a car and they took my 4 yr old truck for a test drive and basically told me it was worth NOTHING * low mileage means 0 it had like 17,000 on it and never seen winter didn't mean zip, I said YEAH until it comes to YOU selling it to comeone else.... THEN it means bigger profit for you.
Well, I got mad and asked for my keys back and they were reluctant to give them to me until I made a BIG deal about seeing the INVOICE on this car I was looking at... then they were HAPPY to get me out of there.
I would go to Girard to the Ford dealer as these Champion people are real jerks.
Good luck to anyone who has to deal with them.

I have too dealt with that Sales Manager Steve at Champion Ford. Same kind of deal, the saleman kept my keys during our "dealings". Well I was there by myself and told them I had to get my wife to come and look at this particular Trailblazer that I was looking at for HER. Anyways, after she came back she liked it somewhat. We were being PUSHED into buying today!! I told them I would sign but not until Steve wrote me a letter stating that if we did do the deal today, he would at least allow me to take the vehile to my mechanic to check over. If my mechanic said not a good vehicle he would tear up the paper work. He agreeed to this but "kind of" (sarcism) forgot and sent us to the finance lady anyways, I refused to sign anything until I got his agrrement in writing. He was very reluntant, but did it. Turns out, my mechanic said the entire frame was rusted pretty bad, said he would advise against buying this vehicle. We called Steve the next day and he was VERY RUDE about the whole deal. I will never go back, we than dealt with Interstate 99 auto with Nate up there for our cars. Top notch sales up there!!!!

That sounds EXACTLY like the experience I had with them a couple years back, which is what made me head out to North East to buy my new car. I even wrote Ford a letter about how horrible my experience was and cc'd Mark Winkler. Ford responded, never heard a word back from Mark Winkler...what a surprise...NOT! It's a shame, guess I will have to drive out to Girard next time I need a new car...or switch to a foreign car...

Don't worry about those clowns at Champion. Next time drive out to the Ford dealer in Girard - ask for Frank Johnson...he'll treat you right!

As for Mark Winkler...nothing but a two-bit hustler and con artist. I wouldn't even consider buying a car from any dealership that is associated with Mark Winkler...WHAT A LOSER JERK!

IF you want good service go to Ferrando Ford on Rt. 20 in Girard. I had 2 Explorers I bought through them. Their service guys are great. Had transmission problems with one, it was just out of warrenty, their Service Manager got the factory rep to do an warrenty override and they covered most of the cost of the transmission rebuild. I had all my servcie work done there and would highly recommend them to anyone.
