no heat in 2002 ford Taurus! Please help!!

Heat stopped working on 2000 Ford Taurus. Fiddled with this and that with 2 different mechanics and over $1200 later took it to Auto Kool on North Ave. in Villa Park 2 years ago after wearing blankets up to my neck all winter through sub zero Chicago temperatures. They replaced the heater core. Heat has worked perfectly ever since. Auto Kool told me it is usually the heater core. If one of those mechanics had
suggested I go to this place instead of playing the guessing game I could have saved that $1200! The 3rd mechanic is the one that told me to go to Auto Kool. Last summer my ac stopped working. One particularly sweltering day I took it to Jiffy Lube to see if it needed recharging. The tech tested it and said there was a leak somewhere and he couldn't recharge it. He found a valve that wasn't closing properly and suggested I take it to an ac shop. He didn't charge me a dime. I took it right over to Auto Kool. The tech took a look found the valve and said if that's it he could do it while I waited. Additionally, he did something so if it wasn't the valve he would be able to find the leak without a lot of additional time. It ended up costing
me $93.00 and it has worked perfectly ever since!
